The DigiLTE consortium held its latest transnational project meeting at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UiC) in Barcelona, on 9–10 October 2025. The first day opened with welcome remarks from the UiC team, followed by partner presentations on recent work progress and initial MOOC reports. The presentations highlighted areas for improvement, technical updates, and constructive suggestions for enhancing the platform. Then, the discussions continued with a focus on Work Package 4 (Virtual Exchange). Teams from Linköping University (LiU) and Bartın University (BARU) presented insights from their Virtual Exchange partnership, including practical guidelines and reflections on implementation. The session also included a review of other Virtual Exchange partnerships within the project, fostering cross-institutional exchange of ideas. In the afternoon session, the team split into small working groups to address specific aspects of Virtual Exchange. Attention then turned to Work Package 5 (icCALTE), during which partners reviewed submitted abstracts, completed reviewer forms, and finalized decisions on accepted proposals.
The second day began with a data session led by the Linköping team, who guided participants through samples of classroom and virtual exchange interaction data. After a brief break, the team moved into an abstract writing session, collaboratively drafting DigiLTE-related abstracts and outlining potential directions for future research. The afternoon sessions revisited Work Package 5, focusing on preparing the first draft of the icCALTE conference programme. This was followed by a discussion on planning the upcoming post-conference event and the DigiLTE Closing Meeting, which will mark the project’s final phase. The meeting concluded with closing remarks and reflections on the project’s progress and next steps.
