WORK PACKAGE 2:
Digital Cataloguing of Language Classroom Interaction
In Work Package 2, each team has collected video-recordings of English language classrooms from different educational contexts. We have then tagged the classroom interaction data and analyzed it with a conversation analytic perspective to put together data-informed evidence that can be used for teacher education purposes. The following is an exhaustive list of main tags (left column, units in the DigiLTE Environment) and sub-tags (right column, sub-units/interactional practices in the DigiLTE Environment). The project team created two video clips per interactional practice (right column), anonymized, subtitled, and prepared for the use of these clips as teacher education materials.

DigiLTE team completed Work Package 2 by January, 2025. The classroom video clips and transcripts will be made publicly available by the end of June, 2026 as part of the DigiLTE Environment (MOOC for pre-service language teachers and teacher educators; see below).
WORK PACKAGE 3:
Digital Transformation of Language Teacher Education with Data-informed Evidence
In Work Package 3, our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of classroom interaction for language teaching. To do this, we have used the selected video clips as pedagogical materials in a MOOC, that is an open-access online course (i.e., the DigiLTE Environment), for pre-service language teachers and teacher educators. In this course, we offer activities based on examples of teacher interactional practices in the language classroom.

The DigiLTE team currently works on Work Package 3. The results will be published in late June, 2025 through a MOOC that will be available at https://learn.tedu.edu.tr/
WORK PACKAGE 4
Digital Co-Design for Practicum Teaching
Work Package 4 involves international teamwork among pre-service language teachers from all the partner universities. These students will meet online and work together on designing interactional activities that will be tested against different classroom realities. After trying out these activities in their teaching practicum, they will meet again to reflect upon the impact of the MOOC on their teaching. The aim of Work Package 4 is to recruit the first users of the DigiLTE Environment (MOOC, Work Package 3) and trace the teacher learning opportunities afforded by the results of the DigiLTE project through international teacher collaboration online. Work Package 4 will also constitute a pedagogical approach that maximizes the impact of the data-informed evidence on teacher development. The DigiLTE team will start working on this work package by June, 2025
